# Rentan Suyeong: one springy grilled cuttlefish for a second stop

> A second stop after barbecue on a Saturday night. I was full, so I asked to order just one dish, the signature cuttlefish, with one bottle of soju.

After a light round of barbecue at [Baeksu Nongwon](/en/blog/suyeong-baeksu-nongwon-20260919/), I went to Rentan for a second stop at about 8 on a Saturday evening. It is a bar that serves food grilled over coal briquettes, and I have separate notes from visits in [March](/en/blog/suyeong-rentan-20260324/) and [August](/en/blog/suyeong-rentan-20260827/).

I was already full. I was told the first order has to be two dishes, so I asked whether one would be all right, and they said yes.

So I ordered only the signature cuttlefish, the dish the place is known for. It is open Monday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, with last orders at 10:30 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.

I liked the springy bite of the grilled cuttlefish. It is the right kind of snack to have lightly after a meal.

That night I stopped at one bottle of soju and left.
