# Opo in Gijang: good coffee and pastry with a sea view

> A cafe on the Gijang coast where my family and I stopped after eel. We were full, so we shared one pastry with an iced americano and a vanilla latte.

After [grilled eel at Woljeon](/en/blog/gijang-woljeon-hwareo-20260930/), my family and I decided to go to a cafe. We were on our way to a mango shaved ice cafe we often visit. Then Opo came into view on the way, my family member suggested trying it, and we changed course. It was about 2:20 on a Wednesday afternoon.

We parked in front. I was told parking is free. Seeing the many kinds of bread on display inside, I took it for a bakery cafe.

We had just eaten, so we picked only one pastry. I ordered an iced americano, and my family member a vanilla latte.

Both the pastry and the coffee were good.

Most of the seats face the sea, and there are many terrace seats as well. We sat at a corner table inside. Perhaps because the weather was good, the sea felt calm. My family member liked the view too. I heard that their acquaintances also come to this cafe often.

Our regular mango shaved ice cafe is close by, but this one was good too.
