I got a craving for thin frozen pork belly, which I had not eaten in a while. Deokcheon-dong is a neighborhood I rarely go to, so I called a friend out there to spend the evening. We reached Jinujip at about 7:30 on a Monday evening. It is near Deokcheon Station.

There were no free tables when we arrived. They said they would seat us once a table was cleared, and we went in after about 10 minutes.

The grill plate is set first, and then the basic side dishes come out. The quick-frozen pork belly is 6,500 won per 100 g, and we started with four servings.

When I said it was my first time, a server showed us how to grill it. I grilled it the way I was shown. They also said to blot it with a paper towel if it seemed too greasy, but it was fine to me as it was. The meat had no off smell and tasted good.

I added Paldo bibim noodles to eat with the meat. They are 3,000 won.

At the end we ordered one serving of fried rice. It comes already fried, so there is no need to cook it at the table. We drank four bottles of soju.

I was happy with the taste and the price. I saw several things in the neighborhood I wanted to eat, so I came back the next day, to [Gaekgi](/en/blog/deokcheon-gaekgi-20260929/). It was a pity the food took a little while to come out. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
